Are you a lover of anime, art, or video games? If so, The Laughing Lotus Event Center in Historic Downtown Marysville will be sponsoring the 1st Annual Anime Art Show and Sale on Friday, April 29th and Saturday, April 30th from 11am-7pm.
Anyone wishing to sell or display art can go online to purchase a vendor table for $25 per day or $25 for both days if you register before April 22nd. The table cost can be shared among several people. Admission to the event will be $5 and there will be an abundance of interesting things to see and experience. There will be a card tables set up for playing games, such as Dungeons and Dragons, Magic:The Gathering, and Yu-gi-oh, among others, and there may be a gaming station for people to bring their systems and play video games. There will be a swap meet, comic books, beverages and snacks.
“The Basement,” an online radio blog show produced by Yuba College students, (broadcasted from 5-7 PM on Fridays on www.oddwireradio.com) will be doing their show live from the Laughing Lotus on Friday, April 29th. The music format includes electronica (techno, dance, etc), anime, and video game music.
The anime show will be featuring a CosPlay contest on Saturday, April 30th. People can come dressed up as anime and/or video game characters and the first place prize will be ticket/s to Fanimecon 2011!
