For this entire season the 49ers football team has shown that they never give up when the pressure gets high.
Every player on this team has a role that they play well, but some seem to stand out more than others.
Anthony White, running back, has scored close to twenty touchdowns already this season. He is a sophomore with the talent of a dozen professional athletes rolled up into one. But he is not the only one with unique abilities.
Everyone from quarter back Nathan Bell to kicker Ryan Martin have shown to always put 110% of effort into every game and it definitely has paid off.
This outstanding team doesn’t just consist of the players who walk out onto the field. It also consists of the guys who come up with the plays, the coaches.
Ted Hoal, has been the head coach since 1995. He has led our team to six Conference Championships. He has also helped us win four Division Championships and six Bowl Invitations. Before becoming head coach, he was an assistant coach at UC Davis, Cal State Hayward, and Eastern Washington University. When he was a college student, he played for Washington State University. However, he is not the only coach leading his team, a number of assistant coaches help him.
Todd Anderson has been at Yuba since 1999, this is his ninth season as offensive line coach. During the off-season, he is the head track & field coach for Yuba, as well as head coach at Marysville High School. He has been coaching for quite some time. Before Yuba, he coached at Moreau High School, Palo Alto High School, and Oakmont High School. When he was a college student, he played for Stanford University.
Thomas Rodriguez, another qualified member of the coaching staff, is in his nine season at Yuba as Defensive Coordinator. He has also coached at Gridley High School and Live Oak High School, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Chico State. His brother, J.J. Rodriguez is the inside linebacker coach.
J.J. Rodriguez has been coaching for four seasons now. When he a student at Yuba College, he was an all-conference linebacker and after graduating moved on to Whitworth College. While being in his senior season, he again, became an all-conference linebacker. Currently he is working on his Master’s degree in Physical Education at Cal State University in Sacramento.
So, as you can tell, this team is made up of more than just college students. It’s made up of intelligent coaches and talented students.
