Heart & Soul Tattoo has been open for a total of 14 years. At its current address of 766 Plumas Street in Yuba City, they have served the community for seven years.
Master level piercing is offered by the owner of the shop Jake Hunter.According to their website (heartansoultattoo.com) “He is known for his knowledge of both piercing and aftercare follow through.”
Chris Chrome, one of the tattoo artists of the shop has 22 years of experience in the tattoo world. Chris is known for his incredible ability to do portraits. He has been at Heart & Soul Tattoo for several years now. Their website also states “Chris’ realism tattooing is some of the best you will find; his ability to bring the skin to life through his artwork is untouchable.”
Zoey Hunter, the one who originally opened the first Heart & Soul Tattoo shop, also has 22 years of experience in the tattoo world. From their website “She is known for her loud color and extreme detail work which has won her many awards over the years.”
Lastly, Bobby Heflin began his experience in the tattoo world seven years years ago. He “is quickly becoming known for his clean line work and beautiful tribal style that offers you much more than your standard lifeless experience” according to the website.
Their shop has a clean home like surrounding. There is even a big comfy couch for waiting and consultations. There is a more private room for piercings, and two more open rooms for your tattoo fantasies to become a reality.
They are open 7 days a week from 12:00 until 7:00. They do tattoos and piercings by appointment and by walk in. Zoey Hunter only tattoos by appointment. Consultations and pricing are only done in person.
Chris stated that they have many regular clients, and that during the summer they are booked at least a month in advance, of course slowing down some in the winter. Jake noted that they have many new clients that come in as well. “They find us on yelp” He added.

“Such a clean and nice environment! Going in a tattoo shop can be difficult because you never know what your going to get, but this place very quiet and peaceful unlike others i have been in! I first went here for a piercing and the piercing guy was awesome! I have since been back for a second one. I also went back and got a tattoo done by Chris. He was very friendly and made the whole process so easy! I would say they have decent prices, you pay for what you get and they do awesome work so its worth it! I have recommended them to family and friends!”
All in all Heart & Soul provides a clean safe experience for everyone to have when it comes to tattoo work and piercings. I found that there was no negative comments to be found. By just walking in and seeing the open, clean, bright environment, you can tell this is a great shop, with kind, knowledgeable people to match.
