Associated Students of Yuba College Rock The Vote

September 30, 2004 Staff Leave a Comment

At the last meeting of the Associated Students of Yuba College, the council finally approved the schedule for the 2004-2005 academic school year. However, nothing in the way of major events is taking place. The calendar is left open to change if things are brought up.

Senator Karl Jarmolowicz had an update from the Marysville Site council meeting. He mentioned the future installment of The Prospector newspaper bins on campus and the proposed installment of sound reducers in the cafeteria, which include signs and club flags.

The ASYC will have a table set up from September 27 to October 1 next to the west entrance of the cafeteria so students may register to vote in the upcoming 2004 national election in November. They will have this table set up from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., with an ASYC officer present to answer any questions students may have.

The ASYC reported on the booth that was at the Peach Fair in Live Oak last Saturday, saying that the council gave away 75 percent of the items they brought.
