Among the many issues discussed by ASYC officers Thursday, April 1, the possibility of having a Campus Clean-up Day was the first. This issue was also brought up at a recent meeting of the Marysville Site Council. ASYC council members announced that Bettye-An Stevens, the head of the foster youth mentoring program at Yuba College, said that she is willing to advertise the event for the ASYC. The ASYC is currently undecided about if and when to hold a Campus Clean-up Day.
Amy Waldorf, ASYC Business Director, sent notices to businesses requesting their help with the Student Body I.D card discount list. Businesses would agree to give discounts to students holding a current student ID card. Waldorf asked the current members of the ASYC council to assist her in finding more business to help out. As of April 1, out of the approximate ten businesses that had been asked to help, only one agreed.
