Woodland Community College has had events in the past year, Club Day however was a new beginning in getting more students involved with the school. With approximately 2,500 bodies on campus, and growing, there is a need to have more activity on campus.
On March 18, 2004 WCC held its first club day on campus to promote clubs and new club recruitment. Woodland Community Student Government was in charge of the event and thanks to the ideas of President Melissa Johnson it was able to make it a reality. A few of the groups promoting their presence of campus were, MECHA, Drama Club, Bike Club, and the
Student Government. With plans for a talent show during the spring and a new ID card system, the Woodland Community College is in the right direction to keep the campus community, and the community itself involved.
