Cross Country Brief

November 7, 2001 Staff Leave a Comment

Yuba College men’s Cross-country team placed 9th at the Bay Valley Conference Championships, ensuring the 49ers men’s team a qualifying position at the Northern California Regional Championships Nov. 9-10. Raquel Lopez also assured herself a position by placing 26th.

To qualify from the Northern California Meet to the State Championships, Yuba must place within the top 14 of 22 teams, or runners must place within the top 30 individual competitors. Steven Schenck and Zac Stuller will set the pace for the men’s team, while Mike Rickel, Sherwyn Jack, Walter Sampley, Dhaval Patel, and Joe Lemenager will round out the team.
