Dorms Die at Yuba College

April 20, 2005 Staff Leave a Comment

The Yuba College Board of Trustees nailed the lid on the coffin of the Yuba College dorms on Wednesday night, April 13.

The Yuba College District has operated the dormitories with limited revenue and staff for several years.

Because the district is also exposed to liability for not maintaining supervision of the facility with trained personnel, according to a Board report by Paul Mendoza, Vice President of Student Services, the college administration forwarded the recommendation to close the dorms, effective the end of this semester.

No decisions have been announced for the future use of the building.
