Earnest Garcia spoke at the candidate forum about his purpose for running for a Board of Trustees Position at the forum on October 21, 2010.
“I thought that I was coming to a forum, not a revival,” Garcia said during his opening statement.
Garcia is a proud parent of two Yuba College graduates. This compels him to ask for your support so that a vision may be shared.
If he is elected his purpose will be to ensure trust and meet the educational goals of the students.
“We need to take the reserve and use it for students.”
He believes that the bond between students and teachers should be strong and students should be first, always, and foremost.
His goal is to make other members of the board great.
In closing he left with this quote, “The greatest teacher of all time is Socrates, he did not have an administration.”
