The Yuba College Women’s Volleyball team ended the season with a non-conference loss against the Butte College Roadrunners on Wednesday, November 17.
The Roadrunners, ranked No. 3 in Northern California, won the match, sweeping the 49ers 30-15, 30-10, 30-20.
Captain Krystal Gualco had eight kills and three digs while Lorelle Font added two kills, three digs, and two blocks. Ashley DeMello finished with three digs and three blocks. Setter Rachel Norton had fifteen assists.
Yuba lost their last Bay Valley Conference match against Sacramento City College (30-16, 30-21, 30-16), on Friday, November 12.
DeMello had nine kills while Gualco finished with five kills, four digs, and one ace. Captain Lyndsay Nelson played well defensively finishing with seven digs. Kristen Jensen and Rachel Norton each had five digs.
Yuba’s final record was 3-9 in Bay Valley Conference competition and 3-15 overall.
