The first Presidential debate between McCain and Obama almost didn’t happen. Luckily for millions of viewers it did indeed take place September 26th after much hype and anticipation.
The debate took a while to get the ball rolling. It wasn’t until the candidates got to the question of the economy that they expressed strong emotions.
This latest time around, October 8, McCain and Obama were quick to get into the hang of things as they debated their views in front of a live crowd of undecided voters.
Again, this debate was focused largely on the economy, with 45 minutes alotted for it. Thirty minutes were reserved for foreign affairs and a mere fifteen minutes for domestic issues (not including the economy).
Healthcare was also a big issue here, with Obama pushing the idea of healthcare as a right that should be available to all. McCain expressed his feelings that Obama’s healthcare plan would actually hurt families and small businesses with taxes.
It went on like that, with counters rather than the passive agreeing from last debate.
Undecided voters, you have one more live debate to decide the fate of our nation.
