Mindsongs by John I. Saiz

Mindsongs

What is the drama today?play it out on your cracked violinWatch it spill out like a snow globe, smashed upon the dusty pavement.Dischord and that chord reverberatea dull thud in a hollowed mind.Look to the sky and your questions are answeredwith a truth so blinding, it burns your eyes. We’ll never know the truth, we’re just told the reasons, crumpled excuses used a thousand times before.Pathetic obsessions will consume us whole, which of these will you choose today?A shining symbol in front of your face,or the nagging voice inside your heart?Live your life inside your box,the walls will crash upon your head.Live our lives like stranded sheep, while the shepard has left, never to return.
