Anyone who has been paying attention to the M.M.A. world would have seen or heard the news regarding the latest events. These events shocked many fans all over the world. The biggest and most notable one took place on February 24th at the famous Thomas & Mack center in Las Vegas. This event was known as Pride 33, the second coming. It featured some of the worlds’ most elite competitors such as Sergei Kharitonov, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Alistair “demolition man” Overeem, Antonio Rogerio “Minotoro” Nogueira, Dan “Hollywood” Henderson, Wanderlei ‘Axe Murderer” Silva, and Takanori “Fireball Kid” Gomi. Each fight was as unexpected as getting hit by a car while parked in your driveway. Here are the results:

March 3rd was a great night for U.F.C. fans. Big names such as Randy “The Natural” Couture and Renato ‘Babalu” Sobral made their appearance to give fans their money’s worth. The results were pretty expected considering the challengers weren’t as high a caliber as that of the more well known fighters like Matt Hughes and Rich “Ace” Franklin. It seemed as though both fighters needed desperately to add another W to their recently tainted records. They were able to do just that. Without a doubt, the most interesting fight of the night was the main event in which Randy “The Natural” Couture literally yanked the heavyweight championship belt off of the U.F.C heavyweight champion, Tim “The Maniac” Silvia. The fight went the distance, but there was no doubt who dominated the entire one-sided fight. Here is the U.F.C. 68 results:

Events still to come that folks shouldn’t miss is the International Fight League’s final fight featuring Maurice “Mo” Smith against Marco “The King of The Streets” Ruas on 3/13/07. Also, keep your eyes and ears open on the 7th and 8th of April for another U.F.C. and Pride F.C. which fight cards are still to be announced. The most unusual event taking place will be in St. Petersburg, Russia where the current and undefeated Pride heavyweight champion, Fedor “The Russian Experiment” Emelianenko will be fighting the 185 lb. underdog in Matt “The Law” Lindland in a desperate attempt on Bodog Fight’s part to gain popularity for itself seeing that it is in its infancy as an organization. Also on the fight card for that very same night will be Fedor’s younger, but much bigger brother Aleksander Emelianenko taking on a much lower ranking fighter in Eric “Big” Pele. Whether or not this event will be on pay-per-view is still to be announced.
