Student loan applications will be accepted at the Financial Aid office until Oct 22nd. Direct loans are available to students who demonstrate financial need, provided the student is making Satisfactory Academic Progress. The Federal government pays the interest on subsidized loans while you are in college and for a six month grace period after graduating, leaving school, or enrolling for less than half-time.
Daleen Chapman, Financial Aid Analyst says, “We are here to help ANY student, no matter where, when, or how they started their education but we try to strongly discourage students from getting loans in a two year college, recommending they seek other forms of available funding.” For information on grants and loans or scholarships, visit the financial aid office in the administration building 100B, Log onto the web at yccd.edu or call (530)749-7999
