Open for business

The Associated Students of Yuba College met on Thursday, February 5, to open up the spring semester, talking about the upcoming Club Day, and beautification of the Yuba College campus in Marysville.

The ASYC is concerned about Club Day planned for Thursday, February 12, for two reasons. First, only one club applied and secondly, the coffee the ASYC had planned on serving has gone missing over the winter recess.

The ASYC has passed out four hundred filers to students, but as of last week, received only one hundred of them back. The survey asked students if and where they would like to see benches placed. The surveys need to be returned this week in order to be presented.

This semester’s officers are: Monica Kurowski, ASYC President; Zachary Dionne, Vice President; Amy Waldorff, Business Director; and Alex Tessmer, Secretary. The supporting officers are: Gavina Avila, Activities Director; Yaneli Garcia, Communication Director; Andrea Black, Assist. Activities Director. The senators are: Karl Jarmorlowicz and Nefer Park
