Peninsula College Football Team Too Strong For Yuba

September 17, 2004 Staff Leave a Comment

Monterey Peninsula College proved too strong for Yuba’s football team on Saturday, September 11. Yuba, trying to establish a winning streak, could not get beyond Monterey’s offensive power. With a final score of 19-13, the 49ers will move on with a 1-1 record to try and defeat Sierra College on Saturday, September 18, at 1 p.m.

Last week the 49ers got off to a great start. Coach Ted Hoal led his team to an exciting comeback victory over College of the Siskiyous.

Sophomore quarterback Chris Saras led the team, completing an impressive 18 of 32 passes. The second touchdown for Yuba was completed with no time remaining on the clock, allowing Yuba to edge-out Siskiyous by one point. The final score was 20-19.
