Somosa for me, and none for you

May 10, 2004 Staff Leave a Comment

The ASYC held an informal meeting April 22 and primarily discussed the upcoming “Spring Slam” and somosa sale. The ASYC counsel decided that the somosa sale should held during the Spring Slam April 27, from noon to 12:50 p.m. The ASYC has agreed to sponsor the somosa sale, put on by the Sikh Student Association Club, to help raise funds for Khalsa Camp 2004, an event planned for this summer at a local temple. Prices for food items will be $1 for a single somosa, Spicy, Mild, or Hot; 50 cents for a can of soda; 50 cents for a serving of garbanzo beans; and $3.75 for a full plate, which includes 2 somosas, garbanzo beans, and a soda.

ASYC members also expressed fond feelings towards the Maori/Samoan Dancers. In fact, they have seen them numerous times, and have had inquiries from students about them being presented in the Spring Slam. It is unknown at this time if the dancers will perform.
