Summertime Yum

Summer is coming. The days are getting warmer and lasting longer which makes it the perfect time for some tasty treats to tantalize your taste buds. I have compiled a few of my favorite refreshing beverages and yummy frozen snacks for your enjoyment. All of them are super easy to make and fun for all to enjoy.

Super Summer Sweet Tea

Super Summer Sweet Tea

Bring a taste of the South to your front porch this summer with this classic favorite.

1 gallon cold water
4 black tea bags
1 cup sugar

  1. Bring to boil 3 cups of water and the tea bags
  2. Remove from heat and let steep 5 minutes
  3. Remove tea bags from liquid
  4. Dissolve 1 cup sugar into warm liquid
  5. Add to remaining water and mix

Serve over ice

Grape Berry Splash

Grape Berry Splash

This delightfully fruity beverage screams summertime fun.

2 quarts grape juice
2 quarts apple juice
2 cups frozen blueberries
2 cups frozen strawberries

  1. Mix together grape and apple juice
  2. Add frozen blueberries and strawberries to juice

Serve over ice

Tropical Island Breeze

Serve yourself a mini vacation in a glass with this delicious tropical taste bud adventure.

2 quarts orange juice
2 quarts pineapple juice
1 quart mango nectar
2 cups frozen tropical fruit

  1. Mix together orange juice, pineapple juice and mango nectar
  2. Add frozen fruit

Serve over ice

Peach Sweet Tea Pops

Peach Sweet Tea Pops

A nice twist on a Southern favorite. Refreshing and fun, these popsicles are sure to be a hit with everyone.

2 cups Peach slices
2 quarts Sweet Tea
Popsicle molds

  1. Place a peach slice in each popsicle
  2. Fill with tea
  3. Freeze overnight for best results

Orange Dream Pops

Orange Dream Pops

This healthy option is a summertime favorite. The creamy sweetness of the yogurt mixed with the tang of the Juice is sure to put a sunny smile on the face of even your toughest critic.

2 quarts orange juice
2 cups vanilla greek yogurt
popsicle molds

  1. Fill popsicles 3/4 of way full of orange juice
  2. Fill rest of the way full of yogurt
  3. Freeze over night for best results

Gummy Bear Pops

1 Package gummy bears
2 liter Sprite
popsicle molds

  1. Fill each popsicle 1/4 of the way full with gummy bears
  2. Fill the rest of the way with sprite
  3. Freeze over night for best results

You can also change it up and try
Orange soda and pieces of orange slices
Strawberry soda and watermelon rings

You get the point. Get creative and enjoy.
