As quickly as the Transvestites came they left, back to their galaxy of Transylvania. For those of you who missed the fun, well shame on you.
How dare you miss your opportunity to have met Dr. Frank-N-Furter and the gang. Not to mention the opportunity to have Time Warp-ed. Well the only thing you can do now is hope that in another decade the Transvestites will come to our college campus again to engulf you in a world full of cross dressing, sex, nudity, homosexuality, medical experiments, medussification. and murder.
The night started off like any other, dark and cloudy with a chill in the air, the type of chill that can send a shiver up your spine, making the hairs on your neck stand up. The clouds swollen with water would spew forth a few showers, never lasting more than 5 minutes. As the lights went down, the 20th Century Fox fanfare began to play, while a set of large lips began to sing the theme to the film, signaling the arrival of the Transvestites, from Transsexual Transylvania. Quickly our journey began into the world of Brad and Janet, and we soon found ourselves singing and dancing as the arrival of the time warp shortened.
Finally the Time warp scene was about to come. Only three students rush down the side of the slope; arriving at the steps, they begin to Time Warp with just a jump to the left and then a step to the right, putting their hands on their hips the crowd went wild, but it was the pelvic thrust that really drove the crowd insane. But, disappointedly, not crazy enough to dance.
The ASYC really outdid themselves, especially when they play a film such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Could this be a new turn for the school? Possibly one that will make this school more involved, where we are not afraid to view movies like these.
Wishful thinking aside, it would be nice to see this school do more things like this and hopefully they can get more students excited about upcoming events, events that really get the students involved, and cross-dressing.
