Underground Railroad Quilt Table Talk

February 12, 2011 Dan Bagley Leave a Comment

Local Historian, Sue Cejner, sent this message and invitation:

“Hello everyone, I highly recommend this Table Talk, Dr. Allen is a local boy from Arboga. He is kind enough to share his families history from the 1860’s when they escaped from being salves to Freedom. ry to attend….rare presentation ……best, Sue”

On Saturday, February 19, the Yuba County Library Table Talk will be presented by Dr. James Allen.  The event will take place from 3-5 p.m. in the Library Community Room.

Sue goes on to encourage that each of us “try to attend” since this is such a “rare presentation”.

As we observe “Black Education Month” this would be an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding from a descendant of people involved in this interesting part of our nation’s history.

The Library asks that each attendee “RSVP to the Circulation Desk.
