Women’s soccer plarer injured

March 31, 2004 Staff Leave a Comment

Monday morning a Yuba College Women’s Soccer player and a student at Yuba College, Vanessa Sanchez, was involved in a serious car accident on Hwy 70. An oncommer tried to pass in the other lane and hit her head on. Luckily, Solomon Mercado, a Yuba College basketball player, was following her and pulled her from the car just seconds before the car blew up.

Sanchez is in intensive care in Roseville and as of right now has no feeling from the neck down. As more information is available, we will post it as soon as possible.
