The semester is rolling to halt, and while most students are busying themselves by studying for finals, the Yuba College Art Department students are putting together a Student Show.The event is organized by Glenn Husted, a Professor of Art.Works from the Ceramics, Drawing, Print-making, Painting, Water Color, and Sculpture classes will be displayed in the Learning Resource Center for this event.The opening reception of the Student Show will have refreshments and prizes. Students in the art classes automatically get their names submitted for prizes, as does any child that accompanies them.”We generally have a lot of fun with it,” Husted said.The art has already started to appear on the walls and in the glass display cases. On November 24, the Art 4A students will begin hanging pieces from their section.On December 4, there will also be a Pottery Sale in the 1000 Building quad area.”This is a great opportunity for Christmas gifts,” Husted said.The opening reception of the Student Show will take place on Wednesday, December 3, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Pottery sale will be December 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
