Yuba College Football Team Continues To Struggle

October 25, 2004 Staff Leave a Comment

The Yuba College football team continues to struggle. Yuba faced Butte College on Saturday, October 2, only to walk away with another loss. According to Coach Hoal, Yuba just “didn’t have enough in the tank at the end.”

Quarterback Chris Saras connected with Ishad Knight six times for a total of 148 yards. Saras was 13 of 26 for 293 yards, a touchdown, and two picks. Saras threw a 33 yard pass to Todd Dickerson (5 catches, 73 yards) and hit Knight on a 39 yard touchdown pass. Unfortunately two turnovers within Butte’s 5 yard line and several other mistakes kept the 49ers from beating the undefeated Roadrunners. The final score was 22-14.

Yuba faced American River College on Saturday, October 9 and lost 32-10. The 49ers record now stands at 1-5 overall.
