The Yuba college music department’s own Dr. Robert Mathews, gave the first of four free demonstration-recitals at noon, Tuesday February 10, 2009 in the Yuba College Theatre.
Tuesday’s recital demonstrated the musical parallels between Beethoven and The Beatles.
“I think The Beatles are the Beethovens of rock and roll,” said Dr.Robert Mathews.
The recitals will be held on the second Tuesday of each month during the Spring 2009 semester. The next recital will be held March 10, 2009 at noon in the Yuba College Theatre. Admission is free.
