The Yuba Community College District announced on August 19, 2011, the hiring of John Osbourn as the new Police Chief for the District. According to a YCCD release, Osbourn officially started on August 8, 2011, after completing the mandatory background check and physical and psychological testing. Chief Osbourn is a law enforcement veteran of 14 years and was last employed by the Marysville Police Department, where he has held many different positions, working his way up and finishing as the Division Commander to the Mission Support Division.
Chief Osbourn is a product of a community college education, having attended a community college police academy, and holds an Associate of Science Degree in Administration of Justice.
I have been attending Yuba College for since Fall of 2010 and have been on the The Prospector staff for two semesters. As a Political science major, I am interested in every aspect of politics, especially how our society responds to politics and politics to society.
