Yuba Loses Close Game in Overtime

February 9, 2005 Staff Leave a Comment

On Tuesday, February 1, the women’s basketball team traveled to nearby Sacramento, looking for another BVC win. However, it wasn’t so. Yuba (6-13, 1-17) lost 75-70 in overtime, after having a four point lead, and their chance of another BVC win. Their first BVC win was against Cosumnes 79-58 on the January 28.

The women led 33-30 at halftime, but once both teams became tied at 60, the scorekeeper stopped scores for Yuba, so no individual scores are available.

Coach Bob Brown felt that the women should have won the game. He said, “This game should have been our win. We were in the lead most of the game, and we should have been able to take this one home.”
