Yuba College Softball lost its Bay Valley Conference game against Sacramento City College, Tuesday, March 30, at home. The loss brought the 49ers season record down to 4-16 and the conference record down to 4-4.
The double-header against the Sacramento City Panthers left the niners scoreless for both games. The Panthers dominated the first game, 7-0, as well as returning to win the second game of the day, 9-0.
Although the 49ers had no runs during either game, they did have a total of five hits, including a double by Maggie Heeter. However, this was no match for the Sacramento City Panthers who achieved 21 hits, including a home-run by the Panther’s Wendy Salgo. Salgo made a total of five runs for Sacramento City.
The 49ers will next compete on Saturday April 3 against Sierra College at home. They will then travel to San Joaquin Delta on Tuesday, April 6, and will return home to face American River College, Thursday April 8.
