Yuba pitcher Gary Kenyon threw seven strong innings, allowing three runs on eight hits on Thursday afternoon, March 31. Coach Tim Gloyd handed a 6-1 lead over to the bullpen, and what seems to be the story of the season, they let the lead slip away, losing 9-6.
Delta (6-12, 2-8) had a late inning surge scoring four runs in the bottom-half of the seventh and eighth making way for a Bay Valley Conference win.
The 49ers (7-14, 3-8), were led by Matt Suleski’s 4-for-5, with a double and 3 RBI’s. Darren Deweese went 3-for-4 and John Garcia was 3-for-5.
Yuba will host San Joaquin Delta on Tuesday, April 2.
